Notes/The house
(The house)
Your nights stay yours
What you tell stays in this house
What you tell stays in this house. The night you wrote before the light changed, the still you asked Imagine for, the hour you spent speaking in Brainstorm — they belong here. They do not wander into a feed. A login used for something else does not copy these nights. You decide what leaves.
What You Tell
You tell a night. Sometimes you tell it in Chat, one line at a time. Sometimes you tell it out loud to Nalani, and she sits with the spoken version the same way she sits with the written one. Sometimes you keep a still. All of that stays in this house unless you choose otherwise.
Staying is the ordinary state. You do not have to lock each entry or mark a journal private after you name it. Folders, Tracking, Paradigm, Markers, Sleep, and Index are rooms for you to return to. They hold what you already brought. They do not offer it outward.
Nalani remembers inside the house so the next sitting can start closer. She is curious, unshockable, one question at a time. She is not a verdict, and she is not a therapist. Remembering is for the conversation you are still in. It is not a reason for your night to live somewhere you did not send it.
This House, Not That One
This house is in.between. The nights you keep here stay here. They are not a copy that follows you into mail, or into another product, or into a place that happens to share a door you already use.
You can still tell a person. You can still read a night aloud to someone sitting on the edge of the bed. Those are your hands. The house does not do that work for you.
There is no feed for a reason that belongs to this promise. A feed would be a way for nights to leave without you deciding. Your journals are not a public shelf. If a night is going to leave, it leaves because you carried it out.
A Login Is Only A Door
You may have arrived with a login you already use for something else. That is only how you opened this door. It does not mean the other place now holds these nights. It does not mean last night's hallway got copied into that other house. The login is a key. It is not a bridge that pours your journals through.
This house does not assume you already live somewhere else, and it does not send your life there in return. The name you use here, the journals you keep, the time you spent with Nalani — those stay with in.between. Another door opened with the same login still does not receive a copy of these nights.
If you log out, the door closes and the nights stay. The next time you sign in, you are a returning person. You land in the room. The list is where you left it. They were not traveling while you were gone.
You Decide What Leaves
Leaving is a choice you make. You can delete a night when you are done with it. You can delete a journal. You can leave the whole house if that is the leaving you mean. Until you do, the nights remain.
You can also let a night leave by telling it yourself. That is still you deciding. Copy a line into a message if you want a person to have it. Keep it only in this room if that is truer. Nalani will not send it for you. She will sit with you while you decide, one question at a time.
- Keep the night. That is the default. You do not have to do anything extra.
- Delete a night, a journal, or the house when you are ready for it to be gone.
- Tell a person yourself if a night needs to leave by your own hands.
The Nights You Come Back To
Coming back is part of the promise. You can leave for a week or a season. Tracking still has the last marked day. Open the last night and keep talking, or start a New Entry if tonight is a different visit. The nights you already told are still here, because they never left.
Changing how much of the house you live in does not move your nights somewhere else. What you told stays in this house. They wait where you left them. You decide what leaves.
