Notes/The house
(The house)
Other houses, this one
A login elsewhere does not copy these nights
You can already have a login that opens other doors. That is common now. It does not make this house a hallway into those rooms, and it does not make those rooms a hallway into this one. in.between is its own house. The nights you keep here stay here. A sign-in you used somewhere else does not copy these journals, these stills, this name on the rail, or the way Nalani already knows the hallway. Other houses, this one.
This House Is This House
You are not arriving into a shared attic. There is no feed. There is no audience waiting to see what you sat up with. The room you open is the room you write in. You write. Nalani sits with you. That is the whole posture of the place.
If you came through a door you already knew from another product, the house still treats you as a first guest. It does not assume you already live here. The display name, the photo, the list on the left — those belong to this door. A house is a room that remembers what you told it. This one remembers nights.
A Login Does Not Copy The Night
The fact is simple, and it is the spine of this note: a login used elsewhere does not copy these nights. You can use the same way in. The journals do not travel with it. The stills do not travel with it. The Index does not travel with it. Sibling rooms keep their own.
That is a kindness, not a punishment. The dream you told at four in the morning is not a document you want appearing on a desk you did not open. Privacy that leaks into a different house is not privacy. So the nights stay. The login is only how you reach the door. It is not a suitcase.
If you later open another door with the same login, that other door does not inherit the kitchen or the person who would not turn around. If you already had a life in another house, this one does not borrow it. You start with a blank list and the composer waiting.
The Titles Still Play Once
The first time you come through this door, the titles play. Then you fall in. That introduction is for this house. It is not skipped because you already know how to sign in, or because you have an account somewhere else. The titles still play here once.
After that, you are a returning person. You land in the room — the list on the left, the thread in the middle, the composer at the bottom. No second premiere. The house does not perform the welcome every morning. The titles were a greeting, not a master key to every room you have ever entered.
What Does Not Leave
What stays in this house stays as nights, not as a profile you export:
- The journals — every fragment, every thread with Nalani, every return to the same night.
- The stills — photos you attached, pictures Imagine made, the wall in Markers.
- The name and photo this house knows you by. Other doors do not inherit them.
- The calendar, the map, the Index, the clues on the table. They grow from what you told here.
You can log out. That closes the door. It does not pack a bag. The next time you sign in, you are back in this house, the list where you left it. If a night should leave, you delete it here. The house does not send a copy down the hall first.
This Door, When You Need It
Come here when the night is still on you. Come here when you remember a hallway and nowhere else is the right place to say it. The composer does not ask which other products you belong to. It asks what you saw. Chat is the default. Imagine if the room wants to be a still. Enter sends.
Nalani will not ask you to reconcile doors. ETAPX made her. That is the only origin. She is curious, unshockable, one question at a time — a warm friend at 2am, not a verdict. She will stay with the image. The night is the point, and the night lives here.
This house is this house. Keep it that way on purpose. Write the fragment. Let her ask. A login elsewhere does not copy these nights. The titles still play here once. Then you are home, and home is only this door.
