How in.between works
A dream journal that actually sticks
Most dreams are gone minutes after waking. in.between catches the night while it is still close, then surfaces the people, places and patterns that keep coming back.
Most dreams are gone within minutes of waking. in.between is built for that thin window: you open it, and you write or speak whatever survived — a hallway, a face, a feeling that would not leave. A single image is a complete entry. There is no minimum, no streak, and no score.
What the house holds
- Journals — one night is one thread, dated and searchable, yours to rename or fold away.
- Index — the people, places, weather and feelings that keep coming back, gathered on their own.
- Paradigm — an infinite map where nights that belong together draw their own threads.
- Markers — the wall of stills your nights leave behind.
- Companion — Nalani, who you can type with or speak to out loud.
Private by default
There is no feed, no profile and no audience. Writing here is not posting. Your nights are yours, and you can delete a night, a journal, or the whole house whenever you want.
Answers
- Who is this for?
- Anyone who wakes up with a dream, a leftover feeling, or a 2am thought that has nowhere else to go. You do not need to be a lucid dreamer. You do not need a streak.
- What exactly is in.between?
- A private dream journal and a companion named Nalani. You catch the night while it is still close. She asks one honest question at a time. Life talk counts — the dream is not required.
- What can I keep here?
- Dreams, visions, visitations, leftover feelings, and the conversations around them. Imagine stills land in Markers. Recurring people, places, and feelings gather in Index. Journals stay yours.
- Who is Nalani?
- An AI companion, not a therapist and not an oracle. Curious first, unshockable, never rushing you toward a meaning you have not reached. She remembers your own nights — never anyone else's.
- Is this another sleep tracker?
- No. There is no score to chase and no streak to keep. Sleep can sit beside the journal, but a night is not a chart. The product is the conversation, not a dashboard.
- Is it private?
- Yes. Your entries are yours. We do not sell them. You can delete them whenever you want. Nothing here is built to be a feed or a public profile.
- Where can I use it?
- Web, iOS, and desktop. Same room, same companion. Write when you wake, or talk out loud in Brainstorm when typing is too much.
