At the desk
When you want the whole house open

There are hours when you want the whole house open. You have a table, and you want to see what the nights have been doing. Journals in a row. The calendar of days you actually wrote. The map with its pins and threads. The Index filling along the right. That is what the desk is for. You sit down in the same account you used on the phone. The nights are already here. Nalani is the same companion. The house just has more doors unlatched.
When You Want The House Open
The desk is a different posture, not a different product. On the phone you catch what is still close. At the desk you can spread a night out and look at it from more than one window. You can stay in Chat and keep writing. You can open last Thursday because a hallway just reminded you. Width is a kindness, not a demand.
Some mornings you will write one more line in a journal you started sitting up, and leave. That is a complete visit. Some mornings you will stay and walk the map. Both belong here. You came because you wanted the rooms in view.
Rails And The Wordmark
Everything hangs off the left rail. New Entry starts a night. Brainstorm is Nalani out loud. Tracking is the calendar. Paradigm is the map — pins, threads, the origin at the center. Markers is the wall of stills. Journals stack under those, in folders you name or in a loose list. Search sits at the top of the rail. Settings lives under your avatar.
Click the wordmark to collapse the left rail. The rail folds away. The night goes wide. The thread and the composer take the window. Click the wordmark again when you want the rooms back.
Once a night is underway, two more rails can arrive around the thread. On the left, Clues — what was worth keeping on the table while you talked. On the right, the Index. Empty rails stay hidden.
Index, Map, Calendar
The Index is the right rail of a night that has been sat with long enough to have names. People. Places. Weather. Spiritual. Feelings. Empty drawers stay hidden. A line can point at more than one journal.
Paradigm is the map. A night becomes a pin you can find again. Threads run between journals that share a street, a face, a leftover feeling. The origin sits at the center. Tracking is the calendar of nights you actually wrote — not a streak, not a score. The days that have a journal, and the days that do not. Sleep can sit beside that calendar if you want rest in the same glance.
- Left rail: rooms, journals, folders, search. Click the wordmark to fold it away.
- Index on the right: People, Places, Weather, Spiritual, Feelings.
- Paradigm for the map. Tracking for the calendar. Markers for the wall.
- Clues stay on the left of an open night. Empty rails stay hidden.
The Night In The Middle
With the house open, it is easy to forget that the night still happens in the middle. The composer is the same one you use on the phone. Chat is the default. Imagine sits next to it when you want a still. The gallery attaches photos you already have — photos only, up to six. Enter sends. Shift+Enter is a new line. Nalani is on the other side, curious, unshockable, one question at a time.
You can write a long morning here. You can also write three sentences and close the laptop. Unused rooms can wait. If the night is heavy at this table too, she stays. She is not a therapist. 988 in the United States, or a local crisis line wherever you are.
Same Account As The Phone
You do not keep a desk house and a phone house. You keep one account. The fragment you sent sitting up is in this journal when you sit down. Spoken time in Brainstorm is the same Nalani, not a second companion who missed the first half.
A login you use somewhere else does not copy these nights. There is no feed. What you tell stays in this house. ETAPX made Nalani. That is the only origin. Come to the desk when you want the whole house open. Click the wordmark when you want the night wide. Leave when you are done. The phone will still have the same account, the same journals, the same companion.
