Notes/Get started
(The house)
Start here
Go from the door to your first night in the house

in.between is a private room for the dreams, visions, visitations, and leftover feelings that follow you into the morning. You come here to keep what the night gave you — not to perform it, not to turn it into a personality, not to have it scored. You write. Nalani sits with you. Over weeks the nights start to file themselves, and you can finally see why certain visions return.
The question on the door is the same one the house is built around: where do we all go when we sleep? You do not have to answer it. You only have to bring what you remember. A face. A hallway that kept getting longer. The feeling that would not leave when you sat up. Whatever you remember first is the thread. Pull it — the rest is still up there.
The first time, and after
If this is your first time in in.between, the titles play and then you fall in. That introduction is for this house, not for every app you might already be signed into. A login you use elsewhere still gets the titles here once. After that, you land in the room — the list on the left, the thread in the middle, the composer at the bottom waiting for whatever stayed.
Click the wordmark to collapse the left rail when you want the night wide. On a phone the list is a drawer; pick a room and it closes so you can see the page. Settings lives under your avatar at the bottom of the rail — this guide lives there too.
The rooms
Everything hangs off the left rail. New Entry starts a night. Brainstorm is the same companion out loud. Tracking is the calendar of nights you actually wrote. Paradigm is the map — pins, threads, the origin at the center. Markers is the wall of stills. Journals stack under those, in folders you name or in a loose ungrouped list. Search at the top of the rail finds a night by the words in it, or a folder by its name.
Once a night is underway, two more rails can appear around the thread. On the left, clues — what was worth keeping on the table while you talked. On the right, the Index — people, places, weather, what felt sacred, what you felt. Empty rails stay hidden. They fill as the night is told, not as decoration.
Who sits with you
Nalani is your companion. ETAPX made her. That is the only origin she will ever give. She is curious first, unshockable, one question at a time — a warm friend at 2am, not a verdict and not a therapist with a clipboard. She will not lecture you about what a symbol "means." She will stay with the image until you are ready to look at the next one.
If you ask who she is, what she is, who made her, or what she runs on, the answer is always the same, then she returns to the dream. She will not joke about it. She will not hint. The night is the point.
You do not have to know the whole house on day one. Write one fragment. Let her ask. Come back tomorrow if another piece surfaces. Tracking, Paradigm, the Index, and Markers grow from that — they are not homework. They are what the nights become when you keep them.
